Welcome !

We know that first novel, play, or book of poems is in there somewhere; why not join us as you hone your craft in an atmosphere of friendship and creativity served with laughter, fellowship, and maybe even a glass of wine.

Our monthly meetings, which typically take place the second Wednesday of the month from 11am to 2 pm, consist of a short creative activity, followed by a guest presenter, lunch, and then readings by our members.

We have a new home! The Dug Hill Cemetery Trustees have graciously invited VLWP to create a space for writers, poets, musicians, and artists in the chapel. Our address is listed below on Google Maps. More to come on that, but till then, check the calendar under the "Village Crier" tab above, or our Facebook site for current events and meeting locations!

Marble Surface

Joan Barrett-Roberts

Moments catches the morning dew
sunlight streams through
my eyes see
dawn floating through
the close knitted trees
winds hushed by window panes
and shadows casting its touch
outlining my hands as I write
something inside
pointing the way
to say . . . I see
before
it’s gone
